Beschreibung
Innovative mains cable, 1.2m in length.
Many power cables are themselves a huge source of interference. These cables are located very close to sensitive equipment and other analog cables. They cause measurable electromagnetic fields. These fields radiate into all equipment and other cables in the area. Additionally, electrical cables also absorb all kinds of interference from the environment. These are also connected to connected equipment. In general, almost all electrical cables without shielding or other measures to block and/or receive radiation are worthless
Here and there we see the application of techniques known for eighty years to eliminate these disturbances a little. In any case, Tiglon deserves the honor of offering an innovative solution in electromagnetic radiation. This is usually one of the biggest problems with power cables. Tiglon is a Japanese company that started in 2006 with a magnesium speaker stand (MGT series). Various studies are known in the literature on the mechanical damping capacity of metals and ceramic materials. For example, magnesium alloy type AZ31B-F has a value of 10? at 0.1?ys(%). Materials such as copper, aluminum, and steel are all less than 5. So it's not a bad idea to build speaker stands, racks, and vibration "damping" isolators ( vibration damping devices) for audio components, based on magnesium alloys.
But magnesium has another great property: dampening electromagnetic fields. An important product group of the company is all types of audio cables, which use magnesium shielding to dampen electromagnetic interference. Tiglon has a patent on this application. It is essentially a flexible “shield” containing magnesium that surrounds the cable conductors. So it looks like a kind of adhesive tape, like the one you wrap around the handle of a tennis racket. The discovery that magnesium can dampen electromagnetic waves was made earlier and several studies are available worldwide. There is a known study, among others, on the effect of various magnesium-containing alloys on the damping effect, which also examined the relationship between damping and the direction of the electromagnetic field (2018 Shangyu Gao et al. College of Materials Science and Engineering, Chongqing University, Chongqing, 400045, China.).
A 2010 study also shows the relationship between cable architecture and irradiation angle. This indicates that certain architectures are better able to suppress electromagnetic interference and are therefore more independent of the direction of the electromagnetic field. Tiglon's patent does not contain the discovery that magnesium blocks electromagnetic radiation, but relates to magnesium-containing tape.
The Tiglon TPL-2000A reduces the entry and emission of electromagnetic fields by using a patented magnesium-containing ribbon. Because power cables are in close proximity to audio components and other cables, electromagnetic interference is often a serious source of interference. The use of magnesium in a cable can be called innovative. Because apparently fewer interference signals mix with the audio signal, the background noise becomes lower and the experience is more detailed, quieter, more spatial and deeper. This cable is equipped with the famous FURUTECH FI(E)-50 NCF plugs (Nearly 800 euros retail!!) which contribute to the feeling of speed and firmness of the bass register.
