General : Unique Sonus Faber loudspeaker from the golden age, pieces of art that produce brilliant music.

Engineering : The Sonus Faber Stradivari Homage is a speaker like no other. Created to have the shape of an instrument and built with the utmost care and the finest materials. Superbly finished in the beautiful, generously lacquered Red Violin design with leather centrepiece and black sides. The drivers consist of two pieces of 12" aluminium/magneisum bass woofers specially made for Sonus Faber by SEAS. For the mids and midrange, a 6" Audio Technology pulp midrange driver is used. And for the treble, a custom-made Scan-Speak silk ring radiator tweeter is used. This tweeter has been specially made for the Stradivari, as the Stradivari features a very wide baffle and the Scan-Speak ring radiator tweeter's radiating behaviour copes well with this. The Sonus Faber Stradivari is an open speaker with bass reflex system at the back, this port is tuned along with the entire volume of the cabinet. The tweeter and midrange are in their own reinforced sub enclosure inside the cabinet and have their own vent port.

Listening : The Sonus Faber Stradivari Homage is a very musical speaker. Because of its unique and heavily built enclosure, you actually hear almost no resonances from the cabinet. However, the Sonus Faber Stradivari do need space around the speaker so they like to stand a little clear of the back wall. Once properly set up and connected to a high-quality amplifier, it is pure enjoyment. The bass reproduction is very deep and tight, a simply enjoyable bass to listen to. The midrange and treble are very pleasant and detailed. The pace and rhythm of the Sonus Faber Stradivari Homage is very good, these are not slow and woolly speakers. These are lively and organic-sounding speakers without listening fatigue. You immediately lose yourself in the recording and all you think about when the album is over is which album to listen to next. Besides their great musical qualities, the Sonus Faber Stradivari Homage are of course also true pieces of art to look at, you're going to love them more every day.

This set of Sonus Faber Stradivari Homage is in rare condition, the lacquer and leather look really spotless. No discolouration or dry spots. The rubber bands on the front have been renewed by Sonus Faber themselves. The original packaging is available, unfortunately the boxes have water damage, but they are still usable for transport.
