New "Statement" technology

Our flagship Statement reinforcement system was in the works for ten years. The research and development project made use of all our knowledge and expertise, which yielded several technological breakthroughs. We recently introduced two new technologies from the Statement project to our core range of power amplifiers.

The NAP 300 now features the new NA009 transistors that were first introduced in Statement. This important component was developed for more than a year in collaboration with a specialized semiconductor manufacturer to achieve the best possible sound quality. The 300 also includes the powerful Naim Audio DR (Discrete Regulator) technology used in Statement to provide the smooth, stable power supply that we know is critical to audio electronics bringing music to life.

These two new technologies, combined with other small improvements to layout and components, mean that the NAP 300 DR can produce even more of the fundamental musical tempo, rhythm and timing that made the originals so popular with music lovers.

The Naim Audio NAP 300 delivers immense power without sacrificing any speed or agility to offer tremendous levels of detail and musicality.

Like the flagship Naim Audio NAP 500, the NAP 300 is a stereo amplifier with two chassis, a box with the audio amplifier and the second with the power supply. Improved grounding controls have resulted in a completely new circuit topology built on a very high-quality, anti-resonance head audio circuit board. The NAP 300 uses the same NA009 transistors specifically designed for the Statement NAP S1. These excellent components each deliver up to 80 amps and 350 watts, making the use of parallel transistor pairs (which always has a negative effect on the sound) unnecessary. Additional NA009 transistors are used in the fully regulated power supply, guaranteeing the very best performance.

A virtually silent variable speed cooling fan is mounted on a large internal heat sink and offers long-lasting stability and the ability to swing a whopping 500 VA on transients. The NAP 300 is stable in any load and can drive a 2 Ohm load for a long time.
