Previous top of the line Magico model - UVP: . Sat completely unused for the past 10 years! (quite incredible story)

Regarded by most audiophiles as the most "musical" Magico model ever built.

This quality is most likely due to the material out of which the speakers are made - only the front panel and a stand are made from aluminium - the rest of the box is made from a Baltic Birch Plywood. I'm sure Alon Wolf would argue that what we consider "musical" is added distortion, but that is ... topic for another discussion.

The M5 have many of the technologies used in the current Magico models - front baffle and stand are made from aluminium, all midrange and bass drivers use carbon/fibre graphene cones, all Mundorf parts in crossover and like all Magico models - this is a sealed design (so no boomy bass, they can be placed fairly close to the rear wall).

The M5 were 115.000 EUR back in 2012 and are sitting unused since 2014 in one of the most amazing, fully custom built listening room in Europe! Taking into account inflation in hi-end gear pricing, they would cost close to 200.000 EUR now new.

Since the room has no windows - there is absolutely ZERO discoloration on the wooden part of the speaker due to the lack of UV light (and and much reduced againg effect on every part, as UV light is #1 aging factor).

They super-rarely come up for sale on the used market - for a good reason!

The speaker have sat UNUSED for the past 10 years in a dedicated listening room, due to owner's loss of hearing. The history of this room is both amazing and sad at the same time. The owner had spent 5 years and over 250k EUR building this dedicated state-of-the-art listening room. The room has golden ratio proportions, over 5m ceiling, is built as room-in-a-room for sound proofing, all non-parallel walls, full acoustic treatment. If someone ever visited a Transparent Audio listening room in Saco, Portland, than this is similar scale of the project an execution.

By the time the room was finally finished around 2013-14, the owner developed severe hearing issues due to accident with hearing loss of 80%. As a result, the room sat completely abandoned for 10 years. Only after those 10 years the owner was mentally ready to part with the project of his life.

The whole system you see - 200k EUR Vitus Masterpiece 4-box power amps, Vitus Masterpiece preamp, Vitus CD, Aesthetix Eclipse Io 3-box phonostage, SME 30 turntable with SME V 12" and TOTL Kuzma Stabi XL4 turntable with airbearing Kuzma tonearm - everything is for sale and will be listed separately.

I could not find any scratches or marks on the speaker - only the one of the stand (pictured).

The speaker is super heavy - weights over 140kg EACH.

They come complete with original wooden shipping crates (2).
