Kinki Studio CHoco EMEI - Kinki Studio - Rarely offered - Scary Good

Rarely (if ever) offered. And for good reason. This amp is praised to the skies by all reviewers for its extreme (!) value for money ratio. Steve Huff even put it in the same league as AAvik, Pass Labs and Deniel Hertz ($10 - 20K).

Sound
The sound is described as a 'touch of tube', beautiful midrange, bizarre stereo image and incredibly beautiful 'imaging'. Also very tight at the bottom. Lightning fast with modern music, but also 'soulful' with voices and instruments.

I also had a Hegel H160 before this and I would trade it for the EMEI any day of the week. I drive a set of serious speakers (Humble Homemade Hifi / Tony Gee) and you can blow your neighbours away with this set if you want. More than enough power.

State/condition
As good as new. I couldn't find a scratch on it. Some minimal (unobtrusive) signs of use on the remote control.

Please note: the display may seem 'strange' in the photo. This is because it is difficult to capture this with a camera. The screen is 100% perfect.

Build quality
It is an absolute tank. In addition to the build quality, the screen is also widely praised, given the special (premium) K9 material. There is also a very nice window at the top, which you can use to look inside. This also lights up nicely when the amplifier is on.

So why sell?
I have been looking for 'something' for a while. Even though I said goodbye to a tube amplifier a few years ago and did not want to go back to it (for practical reasons), I am afraid that I need a full tube to stop my 'itch'.

There is a good chance that I will regret the sale, but for me audio is a journey that often involves some detours.

Listen
Can be listened to in combination with a Gustard DAC and neat speakers. This can be done near Amsterdam city center (on the quiet side (Westerdok)). Parking is easy in front of the door. Still not to your taste? Seems tough, but then we just shake hands and have a nice cup of coffee while enjoying beautiful music.

Shipping?
Is easily possible given the ultra sturdy box and outer box in which it was shipped. Of course after prepayment and costs for the buyer.

Price
It is for sale new of course, but it is important to take into account that there may also be customs/shipping costs. In addition, this is rarely offered and it does not stand in the way here (in contrast!). The unit is barely a year old, so very recent.

Incidentally, I have to look for the original power cable. I believe this was a UK plug. If it is an issue, please let me know. Most people will attach a more fitting alternative, I think :-).
