Borresen Acoustics 02 Cryo, High End Compacte 2.5-Way Floorstanding Loudspeaker

The Borresen 02 Cryo is a very good looking and slim floorstanding loudpeaker in the praised 0-series from Borresen Acoustics from Denmark. The speakers may be modest in size, but they are powerful, fast and produce a natural and tight sound. The sound is never sharp or edgy, but you will still hear every detail without compromise. The Borresen 02 Cryo can play on low volumes, but they can also play very loud without any problems. This is because of the in house made drivers with a membrane made of Carbon and Kevlar, incredibly stiff and very light, and because of this they do not deform and cause distortion. So the sound always remains balanced, no matter at what volume you play. Same goes for the in house made tweeter, which is a special Ribbon design that has already proved itself in the Raidho speakers, but this is a more optimised version of that very same tweeter.
Inside the smartly designed cabinet there are Ansuz Darkz T2 Supreme which take care of the decoupling between the cabinet and the bottom plate. But if you want the optimal sound quality with these speakers, then we advice to put 8 separate Ansuz Darkz under the bottom plate as well (4 per speaker).
This is the Cryo version of the 02, which means that all metal parts like the baskets and magnet systems of the woofers and internal wiring have been cryogenically treated. This is a process that takes 72 hours and this takes stress out of the metals, but it also improves conductivity and reduces inductance by around 6-8%. The Cryo version of the 02 sounds more open, more transparent and more lively & detailled than the regular 02.
