The ACON Divus models are three-way active loudspeaker systems with integrated power amplifiers and an active crossover that offers a slope of 24 dB/octave. An electronic Linkwitz correction circuit allows the low bass range to be extended up to 25 Hz (-3 dB). These speaker systems are based on the ACON 1034MF professional monitor system and are designed for use in medium to large rooms for hi-fi and high-end applications.
The loudspeakers are equipped with phase-corrected crossovers that ensure precise phase and propagation time uniformity at the crossover frequencies. Each driver is driven by a MOS-FET amplifier, which guarantees high performance, low distortion, and reliable operation. The diameter of the woofer and the cabinet volume enable a powerful reproduction of low frequencies.
All electronic components, including the toroidal transformer, are located in the lower part of the housing. The heat sinks of the power amplifiers are mounted on the back to ensure effective heat dissipation. The cabinet is made of 30 mm thick MDF and is clad in real wood veneer.
The crossover offers various adjustment options, including adjusting the treble level from -6 dB to 0 dB, the midrange level from -6 dB to 0 dB, and the bass level from -6 dB to 0 dB. In addition, the bass tilt can be adjusted in four positions.
The specifications include a frequency response of 25 Hz to 20 kHz (-3 dB), a distortion factor (THD) of less than 0.04 percent and a signal-to-noise ratio of 102 dB (A-weighted). The amplifier power is 220 watts for highs and mids and 500 watts for bass.
