Description
Presented at the High End trade fair in Munich, Silencer from Vertere is a new support designed to improve the performance of TD turntables.
Silencer combines a hard felt base, a direct coupling ball and a Sorbothane insulating layer. According to listening tests carried out with all the brand's TD turntables, the addition of the Silencer, particularly when combined with the Vertere Iso-Shelf, provides a marked improvement in stereo effect, as well as a reduction in background noise and a significant increase in low-frequency resolution. The kind of improvement usually provided by an MC cartridge.
