Technique : The Nime Elite One is the first speaker of the Italian Nime Audio Design which really broke through in the market, it was also Nime Audio Design's biggest challenge to make because of the very special design and the beautiful integrated stand made of 1 piece of stainless steel. The Nime Elite One follows Nime Audio Design's unique elongated cabinet design with integrated stand, which can also be found in the Mya, the Elite Two and the Elite One S. However, the Nime Elite One is a little different from the other Nime Audio Design models. The Nime Elite One has a beautiful triangular design stand made entirely of one piece of stainless steel that is integrated under the speaker. The WBT speaker connectors of the Nime Elite One are on top of the bottom of the stand, also the crossovers are integrated into the stands, so the crossovers have no negative influence on the tweeter and woofer and vice versa. The Nime Elite One has a bass port at the rear of the speaker, but the Nime Elite One can easily be placed quite close to the rear wall. You do need a high-quality and stable amplifier to utilize the full potential of the Nime Elite One, especially at higher volumes and firmer music such as large orchestral works or electronic music. But for the average listener, a nice tube amplifier would already suffice due to the favorable impedance behavior of the Nime Elite One. All units used come away from the German Accuton, a brand that makes drivers for a wide range of high-end brands including, for example, Marten Design, Gauder Akustik, Tidal Audio and Estelon just to name a few. The cabinet of the Nime Elite One is made of a thick high density composite with very good damping properties. On the inside, the cabinet is equipped with thick steel reinforcements which increase the strength of the cabinet and reduce internal resonances. The Nime Elite One is made with only the best parts and materials, no savings have been made on anything, and this is immediately reflected in the sound reproduction.

Listening : The Nime Elite One sounds great. The Nime Elite One is a speaker that articulates extremely well and creates a tight and transparent soundstage. Because the cabinet of the Nime Elite One is very rigid and has a unique shape, internal resonances are eliminated very well, this ensures a very clean and tight reproduction without any form of cloudiness. The low end has a bit less "Oempf" than the larger Nime Poetica 3-Way monitor, but the low end is faster, better defined and more rhythmic. Yet the low does not lack depth either, because once connected to a high-quality amplifier there is still a nice amount of body to it. Another thing that stands out when listening to the Nime Elite One is how easy everything sounds. The sound releases well from the speakers and you are treated to a spacious, transparent and open sound. The mid and treble reproduction is very precise and sparkling without sounding harsh or shrill. The Nime Elite One is a speaker like no other and sets new standards in design and sound reproduction.
