Description
For sale Mactone X-18E tube preamp (220-230V) in almost perfect state, but unfortunately no original shipping carton. The unit has been re-capped and the internal wiring has been replaced by Living Voice company in GB.
I also have a amplifier Mactone MA-300b for sale. Amplifier has been re-capped and the internal wiring has been replaced. It plays simply wonderfully. The bass control is top-notch. I also have an allowance for new tubes on the Psvane 300b Western Electric. The amplifier's power is up to 22 watts. Triode push-pull amplifiers can be surprisingly clean and bright, while also being harmonically and musically engaging. The Mactone MA-300B is a perfect example.

Mactone X-18E is a japanese handbuilt tube preamplifier with a good amount of detail and musical information and display it on a wide stage. The high frequency aspects was generally good, smooth, and never took away from being able to enjoy the music. The bass performance also was good being more full sounding.
Founded in 1964, Mactone has continuously manufactured high-fidelity vacuum tube audio components, longer than any other company in Japan.
