Mint+ condition, as good as new. Used in apartment at moderate volumes.
After comparison to Harbeth P3ESR XD and ProAc Tablette 10 Signature I ended up choosing the Spendors which slot sonically between the two others. They have a more natural tone than the ProAc's yet remain clearer than the Harbeths.
They are a very balanced speaker with the proverbial Spendor midrange. Natural tonality and fine detail without sharpness. Bass is obviously limited but really, very responsive. Closed design makes them very easy to integrate with subwoofers (closed in particular) should you want to extend the low-end.
Reason for sale: I switched to a low powered tube amplifier and these need a bit more power to sound their best. I would recommend north of 40w / channel. The sounded beautiful with a Lavardin ISX Reference and a Naim Nova.
