On offer is the legendary Nakamichi 1000ZXL tape deck totally serviced and refurbished.
The original wooden case has been professionally sanded and varnished (we would have expected even better work!).
This device is extremely rare in this condition.
This device has been completely overhauled with maximum effort by Audio Retro in France. Audio Retro has already restored for us two Nakamichi 1000 ZXL. It is one of the best european specialist of Nakamichi.
In addition to the complete mechanical overhaul of the drive, our overhaul includes the replacement of all electrolytic capacitors, relays and all film capacitors (orange drops).
We only use the highest quality components. New film capacitors with selected values. The device was then recalibrated according to factory specifications. The result is clearly audible.
The sound heads and mechanics are in excellent condition. The calibration computer works perfectly.
Besides the not inconsiderable costs for high quality spare parts, this general overhaul includes far more than 120 working hours.
This device works perfectly and will give the future owner many decades of pleasure.
