A stereo receiver, a combination of the NAD 3100 amplifier and an AM/FM digital tuner.
It's got an excellent sound, a very smooth but powerful sound. The FM on it is spectacular, It seems to heve a very good capture ratio when two signals are competing with one another. Almost like digital audio.All in all this is a very well balanced unit that has a spectacular stereo amp, preamp and especially tuner, one of the best for its era, all in one. I found the phono stage to be one of the best actually. Used it with a variety of mm carts over the years and was always amazed at the punch, detail and its general ability to be very engaging and likeable.
With a Goldring Elite MC low output it sounds stunning.
