I am selling my demo server to order the new range, The Memory Player MP64-32 Diamond in black, updated, with integrated converter (DAC): it was the BEST version of the brand in 2022. Condition like new, without any scratches, with accessories and double original packaging. Very little used (few CDs are stored), sold with spare Corsair power supply and mechanics. It is quite simply THE reference for ripping and listening to CDs. MP64-32 means that the music is transformed into 64-bit files and the processor works like a 32 core! Everything has been designed to reduce jitter as much as possible at all levels, the solutions are unique - no other manufacturer has pushed research to this level - and have been developed since 2005 by the brilliant Mark Porzilli: this ranges from software to read and store CDs on SSD, up to DC regenerated and filtered power supply (see technical details below). The Burr Brown pro DAC is fully balanced (2 x DAC per channel) so that the outputs are XLRs, but it is possible to use RCA adapters of course.

This model is exceptional because it includes 8 CAST Hybrid Cu/Ag DUELUND capacitors just before the XLR outputs, the best ones that exist, mounted in balanced configuration. This option was not normally sold because of the DUELUND rarity and their cost ($5000 for 8). The second remarkable feature is the 16-core/32-thread AMD Ryzen processor, as powerful for music as a real 32-core thanks to an original solution (32 clock technology), but consumes less energy and therefore produces less heat. The musical result is up to the implemented means: instrument spatialization, timbre beauty and physical presence are without competition, whatever the price of the other sources. A future evolution to an external DAC that accepts 32 bits per channel (like the Rockna WaveDream Balanced Signature) is possible with an I2S connection (the BEST because no signal transformation, unlike SPDIF or AES/EBU), you only need to mount the I2S Bridge Pink Faun (not included) on the back of the device which is configured for this purpose. Note that The Memory Player version 2023 DOES NOT ALLOW to connect this I2S connection (USB architecture unfortunately). You can use another Pink Faun Bridge (SPDIF or AES/EBU) or the original high quality USB output to add an external DAC. Pink Faun designs the best digital interfaces, BUT frankly, listening with the internal DAC and the DUELUNDs, in true balanced design, is impressive enough to do without another DAC.
