Description
The KSA-80B is the successor to the KSA-80 and is the fully balanced version (XLR inputs) with 80 pure Watts Class A.
This is a beautiful amplifier that sounds very dynamic and controlled across the entire spectrum. You can find a lot of information about it online, and it is considered one of the best-sounding amplifiers Krell ever made.
The power amp is in excellent condition – hardly distinguishable from new and always used with great care.
The PAM 7 preamp, with two separate power supplies for each channel, is also in a class of its own. The phono input is especially legendary, with plenty of adjustment options and fantastic sound. Currently, there is an MC cartridge connected, which can be auditioned.
The preamp is also in excellent condition, with only two scratches on the top plate, which are barely visible. I have taken a photo of the worst one so you can judge for yourself.
Although the set is working fine it has NOT been serviced recently and I'd recommend doing a service if you plan on using it.
Both units can be thoroughly tested before purchase in central Antwerp (Belgium). Feel free to bring your own speakers. Pickup only, or maybe I can arrange delivery if you can come to listen first and it is a reasonable distance. Ideally, they are sold together.
