I am offering Funke W18 tube tester, in good serviced condition. This unit is "one of its kind" because testing Noval 9pin (ECC81, 82, 83, 84, 55, 88 etc) tubes is also possible because it has an adapter for it. It must have been made decades ago. Included in the offer is set of test cards (probably not complete) + some hand made cards for ECC81, 82, 83, 84, 85, PCC88 , EL84 and many more. Of course you can make your own cards, full set of cards is available on CD on Ebay from third party vendors. You can also use a universal card (not included) to test anything that fits the socket. W18 is a versatile tube tester and for someone who is into digging deeper into the specifics and features it will cover 95% of tasks of more wanted by the public W19(S) - and thus more costly.
Condition: tester has just been serviced - is set now for 240V operation (to be bulletproof at times when PV rises in summer the voltage in the grid). It is all original except for the parts that were replaced defective or out of spec (two resistors +16uF capacitor + 1 resistor not depicted) the value of 16uF was changed to 10uF to give correct voltages. As replacement resistors came mil. spec. Ward Leonards from 60's where possible. Rectifier tube is fine (VEB AZ12). IMPORTANT: Installed is original mesh DGL GR150/DA clear glass tube. Cost of new is up to 200EUR if found now! I am adding another NOS brand new never used DGL GR150/DA (silver) for you to be secured for decades to come. Removed parts are included in the sale, as proof of work. The numbering around the rotary switch would benefit from new paint- I am leaving that to the new owner.
Reason for sale: I have more tube testers and not enough space to accomodate them all.
