Like the rest of the range, the Confidence 20 features the 28mm Esotar3 soft dome tweeter, as well as an improved 18cm NeoTec MSP woofer and an innovative down-firing bass port.
Its drivers feature cutting-edge developments in airflow technology (including a much larger rear chamber and optimized ventilation in the tweeter, plus the resonance-stabilizing Hexis internal dome); simulation-derived diaphragm thickness; super strong neodymium magnets; and the Compex front deflector.
The Esotar3 28mm soft dome tweeter takes over 40 years of Dynaudio experience, plus many lessons learned from the award-winning Esotar Forty unit, and packs it all into the best tweeter we've ever created. A powerful neodymium magnet system, innovations in the airflow path, the internal Hexis dome that eliminates resonance... it all combines to increase detail, clarity and sensitivity.
The 18cm NeoTec MSP woofer also features neodymium under the hood and uses fiberglass in the voice coil mount for optimal rigidity. The voice coil itself is made of aluminum, which allows us to exploit the ideal weight (or lightness, depending on your point of view) for powerful and controlled bass as well as refined mids. Furthermore, the entire woofer motor has been designed to exploit airflow using an innovative ventilation system integrated directly into the magnet.
