General : The 432 Evo Standard is a music server with built-in storage and CD ripper. What is special about the 432 Evo Standard is that you have the possibility to adjust the frequency to 432Hz. Technology: Most of the special technology in the 432 Evo Standard, which largely has to do with tuning to 432Hz, can be found on the manufacturer's website. The 432 Evo Standard can be used as a Roon Server and RoonReady streamer, but the cheaper alternative Squeezebox can also be used. Setting the 432Hz tuning and other settings is easy by typing the IP address of the 432 Evo Standard in the web browser. The 432Hz tuning is not mandatory, you can easily set the standard 440Hz to hear the recordings in the way you are used to. There are also other frequencies that can be set, but chances are that you will use either 440Hz or 432Hz. The 432 Evo Standard can be connected to an external D/A Converter via USB. The powerful linear SBooster power supply ensures a stable and silent power supply for the 432 Evo Standard.

Listening: The 432 Evo Standard has a natural and spatial reproduction. To be fair, the 432Hz setting is more pleasant to listen to, although it will certainly not be everyone's 'cup of tea'. Fortunately, you then simply have the option to set the standard 440Hz frequency to hear the recordings as you are used to, but better than from a PC or MAC (mini). In the 432Hz setting, the 432 Evo Standard sounds fuller, quieter and pleasant, the dynamics are not less, but the dynamics are simply more refined and quieter on the ear, this ensures less listening fatigue. In the 440Hz setting, the 432 Evo Standard sounds fresher and livelier, but it does not sound sharp or hard. Simply a bit more enthusiastic. The advantage of this is that the 432 Evo Standard sounds good in almost every set with different settings.
