On offer these fantastic Audio Note AN-E Spe Signature speakers finished in Makassar veneer.
The speakers are less than two years old and come with the dedicated Audio Note stands and all original packaging. This is an Audio Note Level 3 speaker. With their high 98dB sensitivity, these speakers are a perfect match for Audio Note and other low power valve amplifiers.
These speakers bring life to music as few other speakers can. The ported cabinet has been designed to be placed close to room boundaries, where the bass performance is augmented significantly by the additional reinforcement offered by the nearby walls. In this position, it will outperform any similarly sized speaker regardless of origin, thanks in part to the shallow cabinet / wide baffle shape which gives the drivers the best possible operating conditions, allowing them to perform as if they are mounted in a virtual wall. This provides the most undisturbed sound field with the widest and most even dispersion possible from a real world cabinet shape.
The Signature version means that the crossovers are external in two cases for the left and right channel respectively. The big advantage of the external crossover is the improved quality of the parts used in the crossover. These would be too large to fit into the speaker enclosure. The audible benefit is a significantly cleaner sound, especially noticeable at lower volume listening levels.
The voice coils of both the tweeter and woofer are wound with silver wire. Internal and external cabling is silver strand Spe cable.
